KRISTINA KIRWIN, LCSW
Psychotherapist

After graduating from Boston College in 2012 with dual Bachelor’s of Arts degrees in Economics and Hispanic Studies, I spent 8 years working in the financial technology industry. In 2019, I decided to leave my career in the corporate world to pursue my passion for mental health. I received my Masters of Science in Social Work from Simmons University in 2021. I specialize in trauma and am trained in evidence based practices including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I also specialize in perinatal mental health and am passionate about helping clients through their fertility, pregnancy and postpartum journeys.
My approach to therapy is client-centered and strengths based. I believe everyone can benefit from therapy as they work to confront traumatic experiences or everyday stresses. I am committed to creating a supportive and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment for clients to explore their feelings and work through difficult issues. I have experience working with individuals from a wide variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds who are struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, loneliness, grief, domestic violence, life transitions, pregnancy and the transition to parenthood.
Making the decision to seek help and begin therapy is often the hardest part. I would love the opportunity to work with you to begin the healing process. If you have any questions and are interested in working with me, please reach out to schedule a free consultation.
